A-T is caused when a child has two mutated ATM genes. This gene plays a central role in controlling the body's rate of cell growth and division as well as the body's ability to recognize damaged DNA strands and activate enzymes to repair the strands. The more we can learn about A-T and the #ATMgene, the more we can also learn about other diseases that share common characteristics. #WhatIsAT

Bekah Dances Again
Tonight was the first time Bekah Ward has danced publicly since she was about five. Her ataxia and fear of performing in front of others has held her back. Thanks to good friends, a great coach and Bekahs determination she is back and we are so proud of her! Will post the video as soon as I figure out how.
